The One Palácio da Anunciada Debuts in Lisbon

In one of Lisbon’s most exclusive neighborhoods, The One Palácio da Anunciada is a new five-star hotel housed in a 16th-century palace. Located just a couple-minute walk from the central Praça dos Restauradores (Restauradores Square) and from Avenida da Liberdade, the hotel is well-positioned for those wanting to discover the city and learn more about its history.

The One Palácio da Anunciada itself offers Portuguese history, as its set within the former residence of a respected Portuguese family, the Counts of Ericeira. With design element carried out in collaboration with Chilean interior designer Jaime Beriestain, he building (built in 1533) now has 83 rooms. Five suites now serve as a gastronomic restaurant, a gourmet cocktail bar, a wine and tapas bar and the Despacio Spa. 

In homage to Portuguese tradition, each room has original hand-painted ceramic pieces created exclusively for the hotel, as well as images of the original building that take guests on a journey through the history of the palace. Separated from the bedrooms, guests can find a marble bathroom with double vanities and a walk-in shower; in-room amenities include bed linen from Casa Bassols 1790 and Natura Bissé Barcelona.

The One Palacio da Anunciada

Condes da Erceira, the hotel's new restaurant offering traditional Portuguese cuisine with a Mediterranean twist, is headed by Chef Bruno Fradeira. The location of the restaurant is in one of the grand halls of the palace, with access to the gardens. The property also offers the wine and tapas bar, Boémio Cocktail Lounge, which will offer a  selection of signature tapas and a varied list of Portuguese and international wines, as well as the finest cocktails. In addition, the gourmet cocktail bar will be open exclusively to hotel guests to ensure privacy. Here, guests can sample Portuguese delicacies and signature cocktails designed by the hotel’s mixologist.

For a place of relaxation and rejuvenation, Despacio Spa at The One, offers guests a chance to disconnect and relax. The extensive facilities include a heated experience pool, a sauna, a sensory shower, a relaxation area with sun loungers and two treatment rooms where hotels guests enjoy an extensive range of spa and wellbeing experiences with Natura Bissé.
