There’s been lots of buzz about a new hotel and members club from the folks behind the Gansevoort Hotel Group, set to make a splash in London. The curtain will go up on, ahem, The Curtain in London in May 2017. Here’s what’s in store in this hip Shoreditch spot: 120 guestrooms, including six suites, a luxury spa, a screening room, meeting space, and a 24-hour fitness center designed by Jon Squirrell of Vault workout studios.

In food news, celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson will be bringing his famed Harlem restaurant to London when Red Rooster Shoreditch arrives next year. Samuelsoon will also consult on the cuisine served in The Curtain Members Club spaces.

Some more highlights: the curated art collection and the rooftop swimming pool and bar with a retractable roof. The British press reports that Michael Achenbaum, president of the exclusive Gansevoort Hotel Group and mastermind behind this project, is eager to attract a “celebrity clientele.”
