Opening in October: Hotel Talisa in Vail

Calling all powder hounds. There’s a new luxury hotel opening in Vail, just in time for the winter ski season. Hotel Talisa, A Luxury Collection Resort will have a privileged location at the base of Vail Mountain; to quote the official website, there’s “a ski lift on one side and picturesque, trout-filled Gore Creek cascading behind the property.” In fact, the hotel is being billed as “Vail’s only true ski-in/ski-out luxury resort,” complete with on-site rentals, a ticket office, and a ski concierge.

Hotel Talisa aims to check all the boxes for today’s discerning leisure traveler with what they’re calling “a curated collection of alpine-inspired experiences.” On-site facilities are impressive. Think indoor/outdoor spa, a fireside lounge for après-ski treats with mountain views framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, and a restaurant showcasing cuisine from both the Colorado Rockies and the Alps. Note that the Hotel Talisa is also looking to host destination weddings with experienced wedding/event planners on staff.

With an average size of 500 square feet, the 285 guest rooms are designed in an elegant, contemporary style with perks like soaking tubs, ample gear storage, and “refreshment centers.” Note that the spacious Junior Suites are perfect for a family or group of friends. These accommodations can sleep four, and are equipped with a dining area, parlor with a 46 flat-screen TV, and spa-like bathrooms with oversized shower and free standing tub.

For its grand opening, the hotel is offering a “Talisa Winter Welcome” with a $100 Talisa Experience Credit for stays of three or more nights from November 17 through April 15, 2018.
