Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in North San Diego has announced the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation to its 329 guestrooms and casual dining restaurant, California Bistro. The updated rooms and dining facility personify understated elegance and capture a comfortable, yet luxurious coastal style that enhances the traditional Spanish Colonial architecture of the AAA Five Diamond Resort.
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort engaged BAMO Inc. of San Francisco to design the comprehensive renovations, which included repainting and re-carpeting of all guestrooms, updated window treatments, lighting, artwork and select pieces of new furniture.
The modernized guestrooms are bright and airy, echoing the resort’s views of the Pacific Ocean. Fresh whites, bright blues and a hint of modern ikat print were added to the guestroom décor, reflecting the coastal aesthetic. Each of the 329 guest rooms – including 44 suites – features a private balcony or landscaped terrace offering views.
California Bistro was refreshed and revamped with a lounge area to accommodate guests and families in a relaxed, yet modern space. The restaurant received new carpeting, tiles, chairs, wall coverings, and window treatments as well as new china from local Encinitas-based company, The Wheel Stoneware.
A true Southern California retreat, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is set amid 200 acres of verdant hillsides and rolling valleys with views of the Pacific Coast and Batiquitos Lagoon. Today, BAMO focuses on luxury hospitality and residential projects, though their portfolio includes senior care, office, banking, retail, and public facilities design.
