11 New Independent Hotels to Join Preferred Hotels & Resorts in 2023

Preferred Hotels & Resorts has announced 11 new openings for 2023. Through its five global collections—Legend, L.V.X., Lifestyle, Connect and Preferred Residences—Preferred Hotels & Resorts connects travelers to luxury hospitality experiences suited to their preferences.

Highlights from the new openings are as follows:

Galeria Plaza Monterrey in Nuevo León, Mexico, will debut in January 2023 as part of the Lifestyle Collection. It is the fifth addition to the Hoteles Galeria Plaza brand. Offering views of the Cerro de la Silla mountain, a national monument, the hotel blends avant-garde, minimalist design with comfort and technology across 196 deluxe rooms, six lofts and two master suites. Additional highlights include a pool and lounge, terrace with fire pit, spa, fitness center and two restaurants offering local and international cuisine.

Son Net in Mallorca, Spain will launch in spring 2023 as part of the Legend Collection and Preferred Residences. Set in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the luxury boutique retreat in a 17th-century private estate will reopen its doors following a refurbishment. It offers 31 guestrooms and suites that showcase original architectural features such as rustic wooden beams, stone floors and antique fireplaces, in addition to a curated private art collection, an outdoor pool and a spa. Tailored experiences and excursions to the nearby vineyards and forests are also available.

Sly Berlin in Germany launches in May 2023 as part of the Lifestyle Collection. Located in Berlin’s Friedrichshain neighborhood, the new hotel takes on the latest architectural trend of blending indoor and outdoor spaces with four buildings, including a 2,368-square-foot greenhouse, connected via open-air walkways and courtyard spaces. The hotel offers 150 guestrooms and suites, some of which include either a balcony or terrace. Other highlights include a rooftop sauna, a health club and a restaurant.

Launching in July 2023 as part of the Legend Collection, The BoTree in London is located at the cross-section of Marylebone and Mayfair neighborhoods. Besides 199 guestrooms, including 29 suites, the hotel will offer dedicated hosts on each floor and open-plan rooms with sliding panel doors for guests to customize spaces—from a single guestroom to an entire wing of the hotel. Other highlights include a rooftop restaurant and bar, a private screening room and an entertainment venue with capacity for 450 guests.

Les Grands Voyageurs in Paris will launch in summer 2023 as part of the Lifestyle Collection. Tucked away in the Saint-Germain neighborhood, the hotel offers 138 guestrooms and suites, a restaurant and a 35-seat speakeasy bar, complete with hidden entrance and a roster of live music and entertainment.

Other 2023 openings include: Serry Beach Resort in Hurghada, Egypt, launching in January (Lifestyle Collection); The Benson Hotel and Faculty Club, Colorado, launching in spring (Lifestyle Collection); The Elser Hotel & Residences, Florida, launching Q1 (Lifestyle Collection and Preferred Residences); Pendry Newport Beach, California, launching summer (L.V.X. Collection); El Fuerte Marbella, Spain, launching May (L.V.X. Collection); and Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences, Florida, launching March (L.V.X Collection).

Each of these properties participates in “I Prefer Hotel Rewards.” Travel advisors can book client stays via the GDS using the “PH” and “PV” chain codes.
