Preferred Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of 13 new member properties to its portfolio between October 1 and December 31, 2023. The properties range from a Sicilian resort to an Argentinian vineyard retreat at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Here are a few highlights:
Azul Hotel & Retreat (Lifestyle Collection) – Situated on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast in the area of Playa Azul, part of one of the world’s seven “Blue Zones,” the resort offers guests a host of activities including surfing, snorkeling, biking, horseback riding, turtle conservation experiences and ATV jungle tours, as well as access to the nearby Diria National Park and Sibu Wildlife Sanctuary. The resort has 23 accommodations, ranging from spacious rooms to suites and private villas. Other facilities include two restaurants and a bar, pool and jacuzzi, workspaces, a gym, and a yoga platform. Guests can also enjoy complimentary surfboard rental, exclusive beach access and in-room spa treatments.
Camp Creek Inn (L.V.X Collection) – Surrounded by a native forest of oak, pine and cypress, the boutique hotel along Inlet Beach, FL, has 75 rooms and suites, all of which benefit from access to the Watersound Beach Club and two beachfront pools. For golfers, the Camp Creek Golf Course and Shark’s Tooth Golf Course provide two challenging options, while additional private club amenities range from a wellness center with sauna and steam rooms, to tennis and pickleball courts and three dining venues—1936, Bark ’N Brine and ANR—all helmed by Executive Chef Joseph Truex.
Entre Cielos Wine & Wellness Hotel (L.V.X Collection) – The hotel is located in Argentina’s Mendoza, among Malbec vineyards with views of the snow-capped Andes Mountains. Each of the property’s 24 rooms and suites sports designs accented by wine-inspired scents, while benefiting from a private terrace overlooking the hotel’s vineyard. Whether enjoying a day at the spa, a tour of the on-site fine arts museum, a traditional dinner at the farm-to-table bistro, or an exploratory afternoon spent at local wineries, guests are encouraged to embrace experiences that are designed to enhance well-being.
Almar Giardino di Costanza (L.V.X Collection) – Tucked between fields, vineyards and orchards in Mazara del Vallo, Italy, the resort is just minutes from Sicily’s Mediterranean Sea. Its 86 all-suite accommodations offer either a private balcony or terrace. Other facilities include a spa, a palatial pool surrounded by towering palms, and a private beach with complimentary transportation. Classic Sicilian dishes are on the menu at the hotel’s main restaurant, lounge and pool bar.
The Editory Boulevard Aliados Porto (Lifestyle Collection) – Located in Portugal’s Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel serves as an ideal base to explore the city’s landmarks, shops and dining options. With a bold yet playful interior design and colorful artwork, the hotel’s 68 rooms and suites span seven accommodation types. Additional highlights include a heated outdoor pool, Ilícito Restaurant and a circus-themed bar.
Other additions include: Grand Hotel Djibloho in Ciudad de la Paz, Equatorial Guinea (L.V.X Collection); Tembo Barcelona (Lifestyle Collection and Preferred Residences); Catalonia Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona (Lifestyle Collection); Catalonia Las Cortes in Madrid (Lifestyle Collection); Hotel Catalonia Ronda (Lifestyle Collection); Hotel Catalonia Donosti in San Sebastián (Lifestyle Collection); Catalonia Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic (Lifestyle Collection); and SoHo Residences Toronto (Preferred Residences).
