The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley Appoints GM Ahead of Opening

The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley has announced that Steven Szenasi has been appointed general manager ahead of the resort’s late 2021 opening. Paradise Valley is located adjacent to Scottsdale, AZ.

As the first Ritz-Carlton to be built in North America in over a decade and the centerpiece of the $2 billion, 122-acre luxury master-planned development of The Palmeraie, The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley, the company says, is positioned to become a flagship property for The Ritz-Carlton brand.

Szenasi’s career spans 25 years and comprises an impressive list of global luxury hotels within The Ritz-Carlton brand. In his most recent role as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, the hotel was awarded the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Awards, while accomplishing the distinction of earning a second Forbes Five-Star award for The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Dove Mountain. Szenasi’s leadership contributed to the resort’s performance, The Ritz-Carlton says.

When it opens, The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley will have 215 hotel rooms with private entrances, detached casitas and oversized suites spread across 20 acres. A highlight will be the main pool, which spans nearly 400 feet, making it one of the longest resort pools in North America.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Paradise Valley surrounds the resort, offering two enclaves of estate homes and serviced residences, including, The Villas, 81 condominium-style homes ranging in size from 1,700 to over 4,800 square feet, and 39 single-family Estate Homes from 5,500 to 12,000 square feet. Residence owners will experience a “resort within a resort” as they will have their own Clubhouse that will encompass a common lounge, along with a junior Olympic sized-pool; fitness facilities; a dedicated director of residences and concierge; priority access to hotel amenities; and a host of a la carte services, such as in-residence dining, housekeeping and engineering services.

With the resort and residence’s opening comes the debut of The Palmeraie, which will bring together five-star hospitality (also including Fendi Private Residences), luxury specialty boutiques, chef-driven restaurants and a Class AA office tower.
