Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco Launches New Fall Experiences

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, a Tuscan resort set in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d’Orcia, has launched a series of locally inspired culinary programming to be offered throughout the fall season.

Here’s a look at what guests can expect:

Available from September 15 – 29, the three-night Harvest Experience Package will allow guests to participate in "La vendemmia," the annual grape harvest. Guided by the staff at the property’s winery, a producer of Brunello di Montalcino, travelers will experience every step of the wine-making art, from vine to barrel. The package includes daily breakfast; a Harvest Experience into the vineyard with wine tasting for two; picnic lunch in the vineyard; and an 80-minute spa treatment at The Spa at Rosewood Castiglion.

As a one-day event on September 18, guests and locals alike can experience a hands-on and educational Harvest Event in celebration of "La vendemmia," which will take place at the resort. The one-day experience will celebrate the grape harvest and its soil, a culturally significant day in Tuscany. Through grape picking, selection and stomping, guests can discover the art of wine-making, fully equipped with accessories to complete the process including scissors, gloves and boots. Guests will then flavor the wines with a tasting experience and finish up the event with a picnic in the vineyard and a tour of the winery.

Additionally, from October 1 – November 16, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will host its annual Truffle Hunting Experience, guided by an expert and their truffle-hunting dog, where guests can learn the secrets of the gold tuber with a foraging experience through the woods. The package includes daily breakfast; a Truffle Hunting Experience for two; a dinner where guests can dine on delicacies foraged earlier in the day; and a Tuscan wine tour and tasting at the property’s on-site winery.
