Rosewood Sand Hill Unveils Transformed Residential Villas

Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, CA, has unveiled its collection of renovated Residential Villas, designed for guests seeking extended stays and additional privacy. These villas come with a full chef’s kitchen, private laundry facilities and private yards. The transformation also includes a refreshed Presidential Villa, Summit House, which offers views of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Each of the five Residential Villas—Ridge House, Redwood House, Verde House, Orchard House and Valley House—is a fully self-contained space with its own esthetic and curated experiences. Offering two- and three-bedroom layouts, these are well-suited for extended stays, multigenerational travel and small gatherings. Each villa offers curated lifestyle programming and artisan accents:

  • Ridge House – Overlooks the Santa Cruz Mountains and has floor-to-ceiling windows, a vaulted ceiling and wine experiences inspired by Ridge Vineyards
  • Redwood House – Channels the redwood forest’s "earthy calm" with organic materials and includes touches such as a seasonal farmer’s market basket and trail-ready provisions
  • Verde House – Brings wellness to the forefront with its indoor-outdoor flow, yoga-ready spaces and floral workshops
  • Orchard House – Set among citrus trees, this villa celebrates California’s citrus legacy with a private juicing station, aromatherapy and artisan activities
  • Valley House – Caters to creative professionals with a tech-enabled office, espresso bar, immersive VR tour and design that "balances work and leisure"

Guests of all villas can also expect walnut wood flooring, marble fireplaces, woven rattan details and lighting developed in collaboration with California designer Brendan Ravenhill. Throughout the villas, a curated art program by Sweeney Co. includes commissioned works from Bay Area artists, using ceramics, textiles and hand-crafted installations to reflect the regional landscape and character. Outdoors, each villa’s landscape has been refreshed with native plantings, sculptural water features, hanging daybeds and secluded seating areas.

Spanning 3,236 square feet, the newly renovated Presidential Villa, named Summit House, offers three bedrooms, expansive living spaces, a backyard terrace and custom furnishings. Programming can be customized to each guest’s stay, including private yoga or guided meditation sessions, or the delivery of a seasonal market basket.

Complementing the refreshed villas is the newly introduced Asaya Spa, an integrative wellness destination that deepens the resort’s commitment to holistic rejuvenation.
