SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites Unveils Slow Travel Experience

SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites is offering “Nature, Wine & Art,” a five-night slow travel program in Mendoza, Argentina. The boutique estate is located among acres of vineyards set against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains.

SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites is the only luxury wine hotel in Latin America with fully integrated in-room spa features and services. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a 50-minute in-suite massage. The wellness experience begins with a use of the steam room, sensations shower and dry sauna. After the massage and some time to unwind with a signature wine cocktail by the estate’s pool, guests can enjoy a seven-course Chef’s Table dinner paired with wines at the hotel’s La Vida restaurant.

The next day, guests will embark on a guided journey through the winery. The immersive winery tour is followed by a private lunch overlooking the vineyards and Andes Mountains. A tasting of Susana Balbo’s aged wines and rare vintages is also included; the sommelier will also share background stories regarding the production of the unique wines.

Later in the trip, an art and craft activity at artist Ani Simionato’s studio in downtown Mendoza offers guests the opportunity to create bowls, plates, candle holders, mugs, vases and more. Another highlight is the dinner at La Alboroza, the home of Argentine artist Sergio Roggerone. Paintings, folk art and more adorn the hacienda and are available for viewing in his studio. Roggerone’s work can also be found throughout SB Winemaker’s House.

Guests will also spend a day in Potrerillos, a small town in western Argentina that is set in the Andean foothills. Guests can sail around the lake or enjoy water sports such as kayaking, diving, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Later, they can savor an asado with views of the reservoir and enjoy access to a glamping experience surrounded by the mountains and wildlife. As the day concludes, guests will take in the sunset while sipping craft cocktails.

Every evening, a turndown service of in-room aromatherapy is prepared in the in-suite tub, which is shaped like the concrete egg wine tanks used in the fermentation process. The seven individually designed spa suites also feature a private garden with outdoor fire pit and heated loungers.

The “Nature, Wine & Art” experience is available for booking through March 2024.
