Sensei Porcupine Creek to Open This Fall

Sensei will welcome guests at its second location, Sensei Porcupine Creek, beginning November 1. This opening is the brand’s follow-up to its debut property, Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort. Set in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains in Rancho Mirage, California, the 230-acre private estate has been transformed into the brand’s first standalone wellness, golf and tennis resort operated solely by Sensei.

The 22-key resort offers 10 Estate Rooms, four Santa Rosa Rooms with patios and heated spas, and eight standalone Villas with either two or four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, open-concept living and dining spaces, and a porch.

What to expect: The “Discover Sensei Experience” offers guests a $250 wellness credit that can be used towards spa services, golf, tennis and personalized fitness, movement and nutrition private sessions. Guests can enjoy complimentary wellbeing classes, and access to the resort’s lagoon-style pool and restaurant. The package is available for a minimum stay of two nights.

The “Guided Wellness Experience” includes a consultation with a pre-arrival specialist to curate an itinerary; an orientation session with a Sensei Guide; two 75-minute spa treatments; two private sessions focusing on mindset, nutrition, yoga or fitness; and a concluding My Plan session. The package is available for a minimum stay of three nights.

The “Optimal Wellbeing Program” includes a consultation with a Sensei Guide and pre-arrival specialist; complimentary WHOOP 4.0 band and six month membership; ongoing access to the proprietary Sensei Portal; a fitness assessment to co-create behavior changes; 120-minute Thermal Body Mapping experience or massage; three private sessions focusing on mindset, nutrition and yoga or fitness; $500 in wellness credit; and a My Plan session. The five-night minimum stay should be booked at least 14 days in advance.

“Optimal Wellbeing Programs” for tennis or golf are also available. These packages layer in one-on-one lessons and video analysis with a dedicated golf or tennis professional in addition to the core OWP inclusions.

With the 30-day (or longer) “Sabbatical Experience,” guests will receive an orientation session with their Sensei Guide to assess their health baseline; $6,000 in wellness credits; early booking for daily activities such as yoga, meditation, fitness and enriching lectures; and a My Plan session with a Guide to Growth report.

Resort facilities include Sensei by Nobu, a collaboration between Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Dr. David Agus; an 18-hole golf course; the Sensei Yoga Pavilion and the Fitness Pavilion; and a spa. Guests can also hike through Rancho Mirage’s rock-strewn foothills, visit Palm Springs and explore Joshua Tree National Park.
