St. Moritz Coming To Peninsula New York’s Swiss-Inspired Chalet De Ning

St. Moritz and Badrutt’s Palace Hotel have partnered with The Peninsula New York to launch Chalet de Ning, a Swiss-inspired rooftop experience that brings the winter glitz and spirit of St. Moritz, Switzerland to New York City’s Fifth Avenue. Open until December 31, 2022, the pop-up emulates an evening at Paradiso, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel’s 10th and newest restaurant and mountain club, situated 6,000 feet up in the Swiss Alps.

Chalet de Ning is a winter wonderland comprising two mountainside-chalet-inspired domes, furnished with interiors, plus a freestanding chimenea on the west-side terrace of The Peninsula New York’s rooftop bar, Salon de Ning. Guests at Chalet de Ning will be able to indulge in Alpine-inspired delicacies and a special menu developed by Badrutt’s Palace Hotel’s F&B team, with signature bites and specialty cocktails.

Chalet de Ning is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight, and is also available for private events. On December 1, The Peninsula New York will host its annual tree lighting ceremony at Chalet de Ning, with complimentary cocktails and light bites from 6 to 7 p.m., along with a performance by Victorian carolers. Following the tree lighting, guests can indulge in holiday food and drink while taking in the lights of Fifth Avenue at Chalet de Ning. Fifty percent of the night’s proceeds will be donated to The New York Center for Children.

For the Rooftop New Year’s Eve party, Salon de Ning and Chalet de Ning will be transformed into a Studio54-inspired disco party with 70s-themed music with a live DJ, champagne and passed hors d’oeuvres.

Badrutt’s Palace Hotel will reopen for winter on December 1, 2022, with new developments and holiday celebrations. This year’s theme for Badrutt’s Palace New Year’s Eve Gala is “A Night of Infinite Sparkle.” The hotel also hosts an annual Holiday Tree Auction Charity Gala on December 21.
