St. Regis New York to Debut Bentley Mulsanne Suite

Here's some exciting news for car enthusiasts on the go: The St. Regis New York and Bentley Motors are launching a one-of-a-kind hotel suite at the Manhattan landmark, which will debut this month. The suite is designed as a collaboration between at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and Bentley Motors, and the hotel will also launch the Bentley Mulsanne 2013 as the flagship of its house fleet, in conjunction with the suite’s debut. The announcement follows on the heels of a global partnership between Starwood’s Luxury Brands and Bentley Motors.

The Bentley Suite has an entryway foyer, one bedroom, one and a half baths, a huge dining room and living room with floor to ceiling windows (top views of Fifth Avenue) on the 15th floor. Even better, guests can enjoy special perks like the signature St. Regis Butler Service an in-suite champagne bar, and complimentary access to the St. Regis Bentley Mulsanne within a 10-block radius of the hotel.

Oh, yes, the Mulsanne: The St. Regis New York will have the first 2013 Bentley Mulsanne in the United States, which has been customized exclusively for the hotel, with a bottle cooler and crystal champagne flutes, St. Regis crests on the headrests and personalized tread plates.

The room also has signature touches from the car manufacturer, like a black leather tile floor and a linen-colored, perforated diamond leather wall, stitched with one of the 42 custom Bentley leathers. A metallic silver mirror, inspired by a carbon fiber wheel rim, sits above an accent table evocative of the dashboard of a Bentley.

The dining room has an expansive media wall including a large TV as well as four Breitling clocks (marking the time in New York, London, Moscow and Riyadh). Artwork along the walls includes images taken from the brand’s founding to the present day. The bedroom has a custom sleigh bed with the classic Bentley burled wood, complemented by the warm color palette of aubergine, warm grays and ivory. The ‘root burrow’ wood throughout the room is reminiscent of the signature Mulsanne model’s natural wood veneers.

The Mulsanne, meanwhile, designed and engineered at Crewe from the ground-up, is the pinnacle Bentley model, with class-leading performance, unparalleled levels of interior luxury and coach building skills to the fore. The Mulsanne name underlines Bentley’s sporting heritage and passion for power and speed. The design of the Mulsanne is a unique fusion of sportiness, coachbuilt elegance and solidity, echoing the Bentley S -Type of the 1950s.

Exemplifying the heritage and commitment to excellence of both brands, St. Regis announced a global partnership with Bentley earlier this year, offering guests, residents and customers exclusive experiences such as driving programs, special events and brand initiatives around the world. Additionally, the St. Regis brand has selected Bentley as the house fleet for its hotels and resorts because of Bentley’s shared values of craftsmanship, style and sophistication, allowing guests to explore must-see destinations in unparalleled style.
