Versari joins Starhotels from Grand Hotel et de Milan, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, where he served as GM for the last three years. His previous experience includes work at properties such as Borgo Egnazia and Masseria San Domenico in Puglia; the Verdura Golf & Spa Resort, part of Rocco Forte Group in Sicily; and Hotel Romazzino and the Pitrizza in Costa Smeralda, both part of former Starwood Luxury Collection.

Antonio Ducceschi, Starhotels Collezione cluster general manager, says Versari was a great fit for the job.

"Among various candidates, Federico Versari was identified as the manager that most corresponded to the profile we had in mind and in particular we were impressed with his understanding of the needs of the luxury clients, his natural talent for delighting and surprising guests, demonstrating a contagious enthusiastic approach,” Ducceschi said.

The restoration of Helvetia & Bristol’s accommodations will end at the end of the month. The restructuring project is slated to end by November 2019, once the neighboring building—the former Banca di Roma—will be annexed to the hotel with 25 new rooms and suites, a spa and an event space.

Ducceschi says the 64 rooms and suites have all been renovated and have a unique aesthetic.

Helvetia & Bristol Firenze – Starhotels Collezione is part of The Leading Hotels of the World.
