Two hours south of Bangkok, on southern Thailand’s Gulf Coast, Avani has opened its newest hotel in Hua Hin.
Set along the coastline, Avani Hua Hin Resort and Villas combines natural tropical elements with contemporary design. Superior and Deluxe Guest Rooms have a private balcony, while Villas and Suites have either a plunge pool or Jacuzzi and gazebo. All 196 guestrooms have bathtubs and separate walk-in showers, and select suites have an outdoor rainforest shower. The One- and Two-Bedroom Lagoon Pool Villas have direct access to the main pool. Good to know: Guests can reserve all villas to secure ultra-exclusive retreat for your wedding party, family or any other special occasion.
The all-day dining restaurant, Staas, serves international and local dishes, while Italian cuisine Is available at Brezza. A highlight will be the opening the Jazz Lounge on New Year’s Eve. It will offer a Tapas and Mezze menu, cocktails and live music.
Guests will find nine treatments rooms, including two couple’s rooms, and a hammam at AVANISPA. The AVANIFIT gym has all the standard cardio and weight-training machines but for those looking to take their workout outside, the resort has mapped out a jogging and cycling track. Active guests can also choose to partake in a variety of watersports, such as kite surfing, sailing and stand up paddleboard yoga.

Families will be relieved to know there is an AVANIKIDS Club. Under the supervision of a qualified and caring team, children can enjoy a variety of activities, including pool time, marine adventures, face-painting and indoor games.
The resort also has an independent 9,600-square-foot ballroom, the largest event space in Hua Hin. It can accommodate banquets of 500 people and theatre-style seating for 700 people. The ballroom can also be reconfigured to create five smaller meeting rooms.
