Two New Presidential Suites at Anantara Angkor Resort

An all-suite resort at the doorstep of Cambodia’s extraordinary Angkor Wat ruins in Siem Reap, the Anantara Angkor Resort, unveiled a top-to-bottom renovation earlier this year. Despite its intimate size (just 39 suites), the resort has ample amenities—from the Anantara spa to the Experience Butlers who personalize a guest’s itinerary. Following the resort’s makeover, the Anantara Angkor just unveiled two new presidential suites, inspired by explorers of old. The new Henri Mouhot Suite pays homage to the French naturalist-explorer who shared his explorations of Angkor Wat with the western world (he did not “discover” Angkor, but provided detailed observations in 1860 journals). The other plush pad, the Anantara Explorer Suite, was inspired by Jim Thompson, an explorer who famously founded the Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company.

Here are the details. Encompassing 235 square meters (more than 2,500 square feet), the two-bedroom Henri Mouhot Suite can accommodate six guests. The Anantara Explorer Suite has one bedroom and measures 178 square meters (more than 1,900 square feet). Designed like a Khmer summer home, the silk-draped suites have both indoor and outdoor space, plus a lush tropical garden with a plunge pool. An outdoor dining table means you can indulge in a Khmer dinner under the stars.

The lounge area is equipped with a wine fridge, and the marble bathrooms come with double vanities, tubs, and oversized rain showers. In both suites, a separate private spa room offers a Jacuzzi and massage area.

When you stay in either of these presidential suites, you get additional amenities: complimentary laundry service; in-suite spa treatments; and a daily hour long treatment at Anantara Spa. Rates available on request.

Guests at Anantara Angkor Resort are privy to a number of complimentary perks including chauffeured roundtrip airport transfers; foot ritual upon arrival; unlimited private tuk tuk transfers; a personal mobile phone; and a stocked in-suite bar. In addition, hotel guests are treated to free drinks during the daily Lounge Hour in the traditional courtyard.
