W Hotels of New York Debuts In-House Tattoo Artist Series

W Hotels of New York announced the launch of its inaugural In-House Tattoo Artist Series, inviting celebrated tattoo artists to set up residence (and a tattoo parlor), in the hotels’ Extreme Wow Suites. With the program, guests of W Hotels of New York will have the opportunity to jump the artists’ extensive multiyear waiting lists. The current roster includes: Tuki Carter, Chris Garver, Jack Rudy and Sara Fabel. 

The Extreme Wow Suites will also have an Espolòn Tequila cocktail cart. Espolòn will also create specialty drinks that pay homage to the style and aesthetic of each tattoo artist, available on all W Hotels of New York Living Room menus.

The In-House Tattoo Artist Series will launch at each property as follows with the possibility of additional artists joining the lineup throughout the series:

  • Chris Garver at W New York — Union Square, July 3 - 10: Featured on TLC’s Miami Ink, Garver is one of the world’s most renowned tattoo artists. Although versatile in his work, his specialty lies in Japanese and black and gray tattooing.
  • Sara Fabel at W New York — Downtown, August 20 - 27: A Finnish tattoo artist, former model and actress, Fabel is known worldwide for her artistry. She works solely in black ink focusing on organic themes mixed with symbolism, mathematical elements, and secret geometry.
  • Jack Rudy at W New York, September 4 - TBD: Widely considered one of the world’s top tattoo artists, Rudy will continue the series at the W Hotels’ flagship property. Noted as being the godfather of the fine line black-and-gray style of tattooing, single-needle use, and realistic portraits, his body of work spans more than 40 years.

Rates for tattoo consultations will start at $500 - $1,600 per hour. 

Note: For those who have an aversion to permanent ink, they may still enjoy limited-edition temporary tattoos designed exclusively for W and Espòlon Tequila.
