Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., has just announced the opening of The Westin Xiamen. The new hotel is located in the central business district of Xiamen, and has 304 guestrooms and suites.

The rooms are spacious, with soothing tones and modern touches. Guests will enjoy views of the Xiamen skyline, the mountainside, and Yuandang Lake. Every guestroom has Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed, 42-inch LCD television, high-speed wireless internet, IPOD docking station and a large desk with an ergonomic chair by Herman Miler. The bathrooms are equipped with rainforest shower and Laufen bath tub, complete with White Tea by Westin™ bath salt, aloe bath lotion, bath robes, and slippers.

The Westin Xiamen has four restaurants and a variety international cuisine. Guests can head to The Lobby Lounge for specialty drinks and afternoon tea, or to Zen5se for authentic Cantonese dishes and western-Asian fusion cocktails. Zen5se offers unique cocktails based on the Chinese five elements - gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. Qba is a Latin Grill and Bar with exotic cocktails, tapas, grilled cuisine and an outdoor garden. Treats is also onsite for dessert - with a range of cakes, pastries, pies and handmade chocolates.

The Executive Club Lounge on the 40th-42nd floor offers personalized services such as express check-in, shoe shining, game consoles, internet access, deluxe breakfast, cocktail hours. The boardroom on the 42nd floor is exclusively available for business meetings. Other amenities include 24-meter indoor heated pool and Westin signature programs such as the Heavenly Spa.

The Westin Xiamen is located just a 15 minute drive from the Xiamen airport, with direct access to the business, entertainment, and shopping district. The Wuyi Plaza, a lifestyle development complex incorporating arts, sports, retail, and entertainment facilities, is also nearby.
