Inside The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas' Big Reno

ritz-carlton dallas uptown suite

The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas just completed a several month renovation project of eight floors of interiors, including new guestrooms, corridors, Club Lounge space and lobby areas. The new finishes are said to be inspired by current art and design, as well as the dazzling skies, landscapes and perspectives of north Texas.

Created in collaboration with Patty Xenos Design Inc., the project includes guestrooms with new wall coverings, carpeting and fabric enhancements including paneled wall insets, plush draperies and soft carpeting in cool, muted grey and blue hues. Leather headboards, ergonomic desk chairs, accent chairs, upholstery, bed throws and other luxury linens continue the contemporary use of elegant new neutrals throughout.

Guest bathrooms have been upgraded with new wallcoverings and enhanced tile flooring in showers, along with electric vanity mirrors and advanced make-up mirror technology.

Other tech amenities in the guestrooms range from multiple plugs for powering electronic devices to a generous built-in storage unit to encase safes for laptops and other portables. Guests can also enjoy updated in-room Nespresso coffee and tea stations and Internet TV providing individual guestroom access to streaming web-based content from Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Hulu Plus and Crackle.

The guestroom floor corridors now sport contemporary carpeting, lighting and wall coverings presented in soft taupe and blue, and flooring accents inspired by the Texas Bluebonnet state flower.

In The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, travelers will find a reimagined space of hardwood flooring, white marble, new carpeting, mirrored ceilings, plush pillows and fabrics, and mother-of-pearl wall treatments. Contemporary furnishings provide comfortable new seating and gathering options, while added dining enhancements include a whimsical china pattern selected exclusively for The Club Lounge, and new induction surfaces providing both heating and cooling for complimentary food and beverage selections.

Texas wines, local craft beer by the half-keg and local sodas are rotated weekly, and the hotel’s pastry team now highlights daily culinary selections with a chocolate showpiece. The Club Lounge offers daily breakfast, lunch, tea service, cocktail and cordials for guests of The Club Level.

In the lobby, tonal light colors prevail, enhanced by modern accents of violet and rich blue. The hotel has also added a new Tequila Library to the space, created to complement the lobby's Guacamologist experience, which presents complimentary freshly-made guacamole and mini-margaritas every evening since the hotel opened in summer 2007.
