InterContinental Hotel Group Opens The O2

InterContinental

InterContinental Hotel Group has announced the opening of the InterContinental London – The O2. Located on the Greenwich Peninsula, The O2 is close to sites like The Cutty Sark, Greenwich Observatory and the Maritime Museum. It also has views of the River Thames, Canary Wharf and London landmarks.

This new stay is ideal for guests that are looking for a wide range of restaurants. In total, there are five eateries at O2. The Peninsula Restaurant sounds like the main place to be seen with its views of the wharf and the Thames as well as the rooftop bar, Eighteen. Eighteen provides guests with panoramic views of London's skyline, which, we say, is one of our favorites. Clipper's Bar is also a stunning place to be seen, as it has 270-degree windows with views of iconic landmarks.

Planning a large event? There is a pillar-free ballroom with 33,300 square feet of space, 19 meeting rooms and more than 17,000 square feet of pre-function space that includes views of Canary Wharf.

To get to InterContinental's new hotel, guests should take note that it is near the North Greenwich underground station and North Greenwich Pier.

Look forward, InterContinental plans to expand its Europe portfolio. We heard there are five more hotels in the works as of September 2015.
