Truffelli, an Italian native, has held key management roles with hospitality groups such as Trust House Forte, Premier Resorts & Hotels and the Scottish based Town House Collection.
A 25-year veteran of the hospitality and tourism industry, Truffelli is a graduate of Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York and holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School. In 2006, he became a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity (Cavaliere), by the Italian government in recognition of his contribution to cultural relations between Scotland and Italy.
