Italy's Borgo Egnazia Gets New General Manager

Borgo Egnazia, a three-year-old hotel in Puglia, Italy, has named Marco Truffelli of PRÁTTO Consulting as the new General Manager and Corporate Director of Hotel Operations. Truffelli, an Italian native, has held key management roles with hospitality groups such as Trust House Forte, Premier Resorts & Hotels and the Scottish based Town House Collection.  

A 25-year veteran of the hospitality and tourism industry, Truffelli is a graduate of Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York and holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School. In 2006, he became a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity (Cavaliere), by the Italian government in recognition of his contribution to cultural relations between Scotland and Italy.

Borgo Egnazia, a five-star year-round luxury resort, opened in 2010 as the fourth property in the San Domenico Hotel Group.
