Kempinski Prepares for 12 New Hotels

Kempinski is rolling into 2014 with 12 new hotels on the radar.

As of March 1, Kempinski opened Hotel Fleuve Congo Kinshasa. Located in the Democratic Republic of Congo's capital city, in Combe district by the Congo River, the hotel has 237 rooms and suites, all with views of the city, the Congo River and Brazzaville. The hotel also features three restaurants and three bars, five fully-equipped function rooms, an auditorium seating 300, two floodlit outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and billiard rooms.

Debuting with a soft opening on March 2, Burj Rafal Kempinski Riyadh opened in Saudi Arabia. Located within the city's highest vertical compound. the hotel has 349 rooms and suites, a Tugra restaurant serving traditional Ottoman food, an all-day dining international Grand restaurant, the El Capitolio cigar lounge and three cafes. There are also two spas as well as separate wellness centers for ladies and gentlemen.

Still to come in Q2, Hotel des Mille Collines will open in Rwanda. Hotel des Mille Collines managed by Kempinski features 112 rooms and suites, meeting and conference facilities, including a conference room for 120 people, an outdoor swimming pool, six boutiques and a fitness center.

Grand Hotel Oyala Kempinski (set in a tropical reainforest in Equatorial Guinea) will also open in Q2. The hotel will have 450 rooms and suites. In addition, 50 private four-bedroom villas with fully equipped kitchens and served by its own staff will also be available. The complex will house two bars, a cafe, six restaurants, including Italian, Spanish and African cuisines, as well as a deli, a Club House and a classic all-day dining restaurant. An 18-hole golf course, a retail gallery, a night club, a wellness area including a Kempinski The Spa, and a private clinic are also available.

Later in the year Kempinski will open Kempinski Yanqi Lake hotel in Beijing, Kempinski Hotel Changsha in China, Phoenix Hotel Dalian in China, Du Parc Kempinski Private Residences in Switzerland, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra in Ghana, Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Cairo in Egypt and Summerland Resort Kempinski Beirut in Lebanon.
