Kennebunkport Hotels Announces February Offerings

The Kennebunkport Resort Collection has announced that three of its boutique hotels are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a “Five Shades of Red Valentine’s Day” package all month of February.

Starting with a “Lazy Man’s” lobster dinner for two, other components include a bottle of red wine and chocolate covered strawberries upon arrival, capped off with delivery of a red velvet whoopee pie and a red rose turndown in the evening.

The two-night Five Shades of Red package is available at the Kennebunkport Inn; at nearby sister property The Grand, the first new-build hotel in Lower Village, Kennebunk in more than 50 years; and the Old Fort Inn & Resort, located just minutes away from downtown Kennebunkport.

Traditional “Lazy Man’s” Maine lobster is a specialty dish of One Dock at the Kennebunkport Inn, a local landmark which recently unveiled a renovation of its public rooms to create new social spaces. The renovation was guided by Kennebunkport’s history as a shipbuilding and fishing village, as well as the 1899 Inn’s own classic Federal-style architecture.

Showcasing the culinary traditions of native New England, The Inn’s One Dock restaurant offers a seasonal menu with small plates featuring Maine’s local seafood and produce. Maine classics like baked haddock and steamed lobster share menu space with newer Asian- and Spanish-inspired dishes.

The Grand is a new structure set atop Chase Hill that marries classic New England shingle-style architecture with low-key Southern Maine ambience. The Grand’s 17 rooms offer guests a front row seat to sweeping views of the Kennebunk River and downtown Kennebunkport.

This winter, the Old Fort Inn & Resort will feature outdoor activities such as snow shoeing and ice skating.

All three properties are owned and managed by the Kennebunkport Resort Collection, which also represents luxury and upscale properties such as Hidden Pond in the Northeast; The Tides Beach Club, Southern Maine’s only beachfront luxury boutique hotel; and the Cottages at Cabot Cove, featuring individually designed luxury cottages. KRC also owns and manages restaurants and catering venues in the area.
