La Réserve Ramatuelle to Reopen With New Restaurant

Foodies in France have a new reason to visit the Riviera: Right by St. Tropez, La Réserve Ramatuelle will open for the season on April 11 with new restaurant, La Voile.

What makes it special? The restaurant overlooks the Mediterranean, and serves lighter fare. Chef Eric Canino avoids all fats except for high-quality olive oil, and opts for natural instead of refined sugar, and local, organic ingredients whenever possible.

Beyond the restaurant, the hotel has plenty to recommend it: The cliffside property has 24 rooms and 12 villas, and has the only Crème de la Mer spa in France. The spa focuses on well-being through weight-loss and revitalizing spa treatments. Personal coaches are on hand to supervise yoga, Pilates, and hiking, and the hotel offers several week-long wellness programs.

The most notable of these is the Boot Camp, an intensive five-day (four-night) program that begins with a medical assessment to measure physical aptitude. The next day, training kicks off with an hour-long yoga session and healthy breakfast before a guide leads a fast-paced walk through the hills and along the coast. After the walks, guests are free to relax and partake in the spa program, which includes therapeutic baths (balneotherapy), body wraps, and the La Réserve Better Aging body treatment, which promotes cellular regeneration and reduces tension.
