Laguna Beach Hotel Begins Renovation

Laguna Beach HouseThe Laguna Beach Hotel will undergo a renovation project set for completion in April, when it will reopen as Laguna Beach House.

The project involves renovating all 36 of the property’s guestrooms, its public spaces, pool area and creating a brand new meeting space.

Aiming to evoke Southern California beach culture, the decor will include surf, skate and sand elements. Rooms will be accented with succulents, vintage surf books, handcrafted instruments, canvas totes and custom-made surfboards that hang over the beds. Vintage 1970’s era Gordon & Smith skateboards will serve as towel racks in the bathrooms. Twenty rooms will have private balconies with coastal views.

Amenities of the expanded pool deck include casual lounge furniture and a fire pit, not to mention a shower crafted out of customized surfboards.

The enlarged lobby will host nightly wine hours and post the daily surf report on a chalkboard each morning.

For groups, a meeting room just off the lobby can be used for small gatherings or private meals for up to 15 guests.
