Local Food and Culture at AC Hotel Miami Beach

AC Hotel Miami BeachMarriott International has announced the launch of the AC Hotel Miami Beach's "Miami CULTure Project," a collaboration program with Miami artists and influencers. Patrons will enjoy inspired batched cocktails, locally sourced products, a Spanish inspired wines-by-the-glass and tapas menu, and more.

"Beyond the sun, beach and Art Deco lined streets, there is something special in the air that makes Miami a culture of its own," said Toni Stoeckl, VP lifestyle brands of Marriott International. "With this program, AC Hotel Miami Beach will look to capture Miami's essence and bring an authentic experience to guests through the voices and creativity of its people."

AC Hotel Miami Beach has partnered with local spirits guru Jennifer Massolo, founder of The Liquid Projects. Massolo will lend her expertise to design the beverage, food and lifestyle program for the European-based hotel brand, set to open in spring 2015 at 29th Street and Collins Avenue.

Based on her over 20 years in the industry, Massolo will develop a creative beverage and food concept that will reflect the local offerings of Miami while embracing AC Hotels' Spanish roots.

According to Massolo, "The beverage and food program will have a local focus with many of the vendors sourced from regional artisans, such as Miami Smokers and Florida-based brewers. While the craft cocktail program will embrace an array of the finest local and international craft spirits, utilizing the freshest ingredients and garnishes, the bar will also integrate the highly efficient and modernized process of batching."

The beverage program will feature several nods to Spanish culture while incorporating current national trends. A wines-by-the-glass program will allow for ample pairing opportunities with the brand's signature Spanish-style tapas menu and will include interesting additions, such as Sherry and Vermouth, and two sizes of pours. Massolo will also look to offer an abundance of world whiskies and a gin and tonic menu.

At the helm of the AC Lounge, the AC Culturalist, will serve as head bartender providing guests with perfectly poured cocktails and local insights. The hotel also plans to work with Massolo on developing the program for the rooftop pool deck and for the unique, third floor outdoor lounge that will include ping pong, billiards, bocce ball and movie screenings under the stars.
