Fashionistas might find the sight of a Louis Vuitton trunk measuring 98ft in length and 29ft high a wonder to behold, but polticial parties in Russia are not welcoming its arrival so warmly.
Erected on Red Square in Moscow, the Russian capital, the cavernous trunk will house the French fashion house’s 29ft L'Ame du Voyage exhibition from December 2 until January 19, 2014.
The show will spotlight 25 famous personalities accompanied on their journeys by Louis Vuitton luggage, but the Russian Communist Party have criticised the structure given its proximity to the Kremlin and the presidential residence.
The party’s founder, Vladimir Lenin, said they would send a request to police demanding an investigation into how authorities could have allowed the project.
