Come late 2017, jet-setters headed to Boca Raton will have a new option to keep in mind: Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group just announced plans to manage a new luxury hotel and branded residences in the area.

The new project will comprise two adjacent towers in downtown Boca Raton, a short walk from the beach and surrounded by some of the city's most affluent neighborhoods. The Mandarin Oriental, Boca Raton will have 158 guestrooms and suites, all with ocean or city views, as well as a rooftop restaurant (we hear the outdoor terrace and bar will have a spectacular view of the ocean), a lobby lounge, a Mandarin Oriental cake shop and club lounge. For meetings and events, the hotel will have a 4,500 square foot ballroom and adaptable conference rooms.

The property will also have a Spa at Mandarin Oriental offering the brand's signature rejuvenation and relaxation treatments, plus a fitness center and a rooftop pool.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental will be in the adjoining tower, connected by sky bridge to the hotel, and will consist of 100 private homes.

SB Architects has been tapped to design the project. We hear plans call for heavy callouts to the Mediterranean-influenced architecture of Addison Mizner, for which Boca Raton is well-known.
