Hotel Buzz: Four Seasons to Come to Azerbaijan

In addition to archaeological sites, museums, shopping and nightlife, Baku in Azerbaijan will soon be home to a Four Seasons.

The new waterfront hotel, which is slated to debut in early 2012, will have 171 rooms including 29 suites. Rooms will average at 560 square feet. Nice touch: Nearly all rooms open to balconies with views of the Old City or Caspian Sea.

For your VIPs: We hear the Khazar and Liman Presidential Suites cover a massive 3,000 square feet each, and have their own private elevator access.

Dining is a treat for the senses at Four Seasons Baku. Kaspia will offer mixed grill and seafood, with views of the sea. Tip: The adjacent Private Dining Room is perfect for discreet occasions.

Zafferano, the Italian word for saffron, will serve up dishes that can be found in central Italy. It will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At street level, Piazza will serve morning coffee and pastries inside or al fresco overlooking Philharmonic Park. For a nighttime ambiance, we suggest Bentley's a club-like bar serving whiskies and cigars.

Top View: We hear the Jaleh Spa at the hotel will sit in a penthouse suite, with 10 treatment rooms including a special room for Ghassoul mud applications and a double-size VIP Couple's Suite with private terrace and sea views. Separate men's and women's hammam steam rooms and whirlpools are also available.
