Art lovers will enjoy the new French barge cruise from Barge Lady Cruises, with an “Impressionist and Chateau” theme. Aboard the eight-passenger MS Elizabeth passengers will visit some of the most important areas connected with major art movements like the village of Giverny. This is where Van Gogh painted his last works, and where Monet painted his famous garden depictions.
Passengers will also receive a two-day museum pass, which gives guests free entry and no-line access to 60 museums in Paris. This will allow guests the opportunity to see some of the works of art created in Giverny like some of Monet’s Water Lilies. Guests will also be invited to enjoy cooking lessons with the onboard chef during the cruise as the MS Elizabeth sails down French rivers during the week-long cruise.
The cruises leave every Sunday from Paris and return to Paris the following Saturday. The private cruise can be book by couples or a family. It runs $40,000 for eight passengers and $36,000 for six passengers. Meals, wine with meals, open bar, daily-guided sightseeing, use of bicycles and other boat facilities and transfers to and from central Paris to the barge route are included.
The cruises run from May 3 to October 11.
