New Chiang Mai Retreat Opens January

The 137 Pillars House, a new 30-suite retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand, opens January 2012.

We hear the hotel is near the Ping River and adjacent to the Wat Gate Khar Rham Temple, perfect for sightseeing buffs. The hotel offers modern amenities through its four suite types ranging from 750 square feet to 1,450 square feet, while preserving some of the original 1889 structure. Some features include a bar, parlor, wine cellar, dining room, the kitchen that holds regular Thai cooking demonstrations, in suite or private dining and a large pool. Private Pools are featured in the two Louis Leonowens Suites.

137 Pillars House is managed by SilverNeedle Hospitality and is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
