Adventure in Napa Valley awaits at the Round Pond Estate, which is family-owned vineyard, olive mill, and estate winery. The vineyard is offering guests an inside look at the wine making process with the “Hands-on Harvest” experience.

During this package, guests will follow the team of winemakers and learn the crafting secrets behind the Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests will help the winemakers with the current harvest, depending on what needs to be done that day. The two-hour experience could begin in the vineyard, where guests will learn how to pick grapes, the grape varieties and will compare soils. Or maybe travelers will be helping at the Crush Pad. Here, guests will help sort the grapes, learn about the fermentation process and assist in pump-overs and racking. There will even be some time to taste the grape juice. Finally, in the Barrel Cellar travelers could test the sugar and alcohol levels, taste from the wine thief and learn about barrel aging.

After time on the vineyard, the new wine connoisseurs will receive a preview of the Round Pound’s collector-only cult wines, the Gravel Series, in the owners’ private wine library.

The package is available at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday through November. This package is by appointment only and can serve two to eight people. To book the experience contact Christina Blandon or Kasey Groth at [email protected]
