New York Hotels Prepare for Fashion Week

It's almost upon us: Skinny supermodels, iconic designers and fans alike will descend upon Lincoln Center on September 5 for New York Fashion Week, and hotels around the city are making the most of it.

Hotel Belleclaire is walking distance from Lincoln Center, and will house pop-ups of top lifestyle brands in its lobby. (We hear that during the February Fashion Week, following a multimillion dollar renovation, the Belleclaire saw models, artists, photographers, designers, personalities, and industry leaders walk through its doors.)

The lobby will have fashion installations by Project Runway alum Korto Momolu and up-and-coming designer Corrine Monique, who will both showcase pieces from their spring collections.

Recalling its turn-of-the-century roots as a "country club" of sorts for the city's creme de la creme (Babe Ruth and Mark Twain were frequent guests), the hotel will partner with:

•    Suja, a cold-pressed juice brand that we hear is popular with notable actresses (Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson reportedly love it), will be offering complimentary juices daily from 11 am - 7 pm from September 5 - 12.

•    Stella & Dot, a social selling company of boutique-style jewelry and accessories with exclusive collections by notable designers, will host a trunk show (and offer discounts) on September 5, 6, 9 and 10 from 2-6 pm.

At The Lowell on the East Side, a pop-up restaurant will open for one night only on Thursday, September 5 at 6pm. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be available (but be sure to call in advance for a reservation at 212-605-6968).
