Capella Singapore Adds Executive Assistant Manager - Sales & Marketing

Sherona Lau has been appointed as executive assistant manager – sales and marketing at Capella Singapore. Lau brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the luxury property.

Lau started her career as a management trainee at the Yinhe Dynasty Intercontinental Hotel in China. She then joined The Peninsula Hotels, where she spent over 13 years in various positions in sales and marketing at the Bangkok property, The Peninsula flagship hotel in Hong Kong and later on as regional director of marketing for The Peninsula Hotels, covering the Southern China, Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. Lau has also worked for other luxury brands: The Ritz-Carlton and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Company. 

Prior to joining the Capella Singapore, Lau served as VP and partner at Shanghai Yu Ji Hospitality Consulting Company, where she advised luxury hospitality companies on their practices. A native of Hong Kong, Lau holds an Associate Degree from Domino Carlton Tivoli (Culinary Arts Academy) in Switzerland and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Florida International University. Additionally, she has completed a Group Professional Development Program in Cornell University
