Private membership lifestyle management company Four Hundred appointed Tony Shepherd as its next CEO. The former Provtravel International and Virtuoso employee is replacing the company founder Tony Abrams, who will move to the newly created role of chairman.

As the incoming CEO, Shepherd plans to focus on using new technology to service its customer base more efficiently, introducing additional products and services, searching out strategic acquisitions and partnerships and creating a framework to support independent travel consultants.

Shepherd joins Four Hundred with decades of experience in the travel business and a background in hospitality, education, travel and luxury services. He worked with Provtravel International for 25 years where he helped build the company into one of the United States’ largest travel management companies. He then spent three years at Virtuoso, a worldwide luxury travel consortium. During his time there he opened 17 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and expanded the agency network by more than 75 locations and 1,500 travel advisors.

Four Hundred is a high-end luxury brand that targets high-profile individuals in technology, business, entertainment, sports and media. Founded in 2007, the New York-based company combines elite service and limited membership to help a select group of clients fulfill their short- and long-term lifestyle goals.
