Silversea Appoints Joe Leon VP Field Sales for North America

Silversea Cruises has appointed Joe Leon as its new vice president of field sales for North America. Based in the Miami office, he reports to Mark Conroy, Silversea's managing director for the Americas.

With 14 years of sales management experience in the travel industry, Leon is responsible for leading the U.S. and Canadian field sales team. He has primary responsibility for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives and new processes for enhancing support to the travel agent community.

"I'm delighted to welcome Joe to Silversea at such an important time, when our fleet is expanding to nine ships with the debut of our new Silver Muse next year," said Conroy. "His extensive sales experience in both the cruise and retail travel sectors will be a tremendous asset to the company."

Prior to his appointment at Silversea, Leon was senior director of business development and travel agency sales for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. His past experience also includes management positions in the retail travel industry, where he had launched a career as a successful travel agent.

"I'm excited to be joining Silversea and look forward to working with travel agents in the U.S. and Canada to help them grow their luxury cruise business," said Leon.
