PONANT Adds Cultural Expeditions Brand

PONANT has acquired some of the business assets of New York City-based Travel Dynamics International, an operator of high-caliber educational programs aboard small cruise ships.

The new company will offer cruise programs for the American market under the brand “PONANT, Cultural Cruises & Expeditions.”

By aligning the two companies PONANT intends to develop enrichment programs with a focus on cultural voyages and expeditions to all seven continents, as well as strengthen its business in the U.S. The cruise line said it will remain committed to investing in and reinforcing its existing strategic and historical partnerships in the U.S., notably with Abercrombie & Kent, Gohagan & Company and Tauck.
