Cara Matthew

Cara was born in British Columbia and now calls Toronto, Ontario, home. Her journey in small‑ship expeditions is fueled by a deep passion for people, the thrill of exploration, and an unwavering commitment to our planet’s wellbeing.

With more than 17 years in the travel industry, Cara’s professional voyage began with a polar expedition company, which was an experience that shaped her lifelong connection to expedition travel and conservation‑focused exploration. Today, she proudly represents National Geographic–Lindblad Expeditions, supporting and growing the Canadian trade market while connecting travelers to meaningful, purpose‑driven experiences.

When she’s not sharing her passion for exploration, Cara enjoys making music, spending time walking and hiking in nature, and being with her Bernese Mountain Dog. Fun fact: her husband proposed to her under the midnight sun at the North Pole.
