President Obama is the first head of state to stay in the Grand Royal Suite at the Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar. The 15,000-square-foot suite comes with a room for a bodyguard, a private swimming pool and a fitness center.

The property is the first Kempinski hotel in Myanmar, which opened earlier this month to guests. This luxury hotel has several eateries like the Rangoon Kitchen, which serves pan-Asian dishes. Nay Pyi Taw also has two lounges and a pool-side bar.

The upcoming year will be a busy time for Kempinski in the Southeast Asia region. Hotel Nay Pyi Taw’s spa is set to open, and the second Kempinski hotel in Myanmar, Kempinski Hotel Yangon, will open in late 2015.
