Experience seventeenth century luxuries in the Dutch capital now, thanks to the newly renovated Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam. The Pulitzer Amsterdam, located within the 400-year-old Golden Age canal house buildings, opened its doors recently after a complete renovation of the historic hotel.

Situated within the heart of the Amsterdam UNESCO World Heritage canal district, the renovations of the hotel stripped away the properties former modern influences to re-introduce the hidden historical beauty of site, attempting to combine historical elements with contemporary style.

The hotel boasts 225 guestrooms and five one-of-a-king suites, Pulitzer’s Bar, the new Jansz restaurant, an alfresco café overlooking the Pause at Pulitzer, a gym, a library, an in-house flower shop and gardens on site, complete with an adult swing.

During the phased restoration, February saw the unveiling of Pulitzer’s Bar, Jansz, meeting and event spaces and 80 guest rooms on the Keizersgracht canal side of the hotel.  The recent unveiling of the second wing, on the Prinsengracht canal side, marked the hotels official grand opening.

For those looking to get off-site, attractions near Pulitzer Amsterdam include Dam Square, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, the Van Goh Museum, Anne Frank’s house, the fashionable Nine Streets, the shops of Jordaan, the flower market and the Royal Palace. All are easily accessible by foot, bike or boat.

Pulitzer Amsterdam is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts LVX Collection.
