Looking to ring in the New Year in one of Europe's oldest cities? This December 31, the Regent Berlin will host the Regent Royal festivities, and we say the party looks like the place to be in the city.
The entire ground floor of the hotel will be transformed into a party palace for the evening. The menu will include Sylt oysters, sautéed prawns, and lobster au gratin, presented at live cooking stations by chefs from the gourmet restaurant Fischers Fritz. And since New Year's Eve requires a champagne, the lobby will have a Veuve Clicquot bar (created just for the event, we hear).
Live music will be heard on three dance floors, from the big band Jive Park from Berlin, rock group The Blue Ribbon Four from Frankfurt, and DJ Smooth’s New Year’s Eve Mix. (More acts will be revealed that evening.) Good news for cigar fans: Lovers of Cuban tobacco can withdraw to the cigar lounge and watch a torcedor roll high-quality cigars by hand.
At midnight, guests can watch the fireworks above Gendarmenmarkt. For families, the hotel offers a professional childcare service.
