Philadelphia’s The Rittenhouse has announced a series of special offers to celebrate 25 years in business. With a fresh new look courtesy of a nearly completed $10 million renovation, the hotel has added an array of additions and services to the property.
Guests can enjoy evening cocktails at the new Library Bar which opened last year. Throughout the month of June, visitors can try out the 'Silver Anniversary' cocktail, a mixture of champagne, a 25-year aged balsamico and a fresh strawberry reduction, created by The Rittenhouse’s own Master Mixologist, Papi Hurtado.
The hotel's Afternoon Tea menu at the Mary Cassatt Tea Room has been enhanced, now featuring canapés, petite desserts and a signature tea section. Those looking for a bit more nourishment can check out the Sparkling Lunch menu at Lacroix, The Rittenhouse’s restaurant. Options include salmon tartare with lemongrass and Maine scallop with emmer berry, asparagus and apricot; alongside a glass of sparkling wine.
Visitors can now also check in to one the new five ultra-luxe park suites, with four poster beds, marble bathrooms and Rittenhouse Square views.
Guests can also expect a refreshed lobby, guest rooms and public event spaces, as well as new full-service spa, health club and salon which will open later this summer.
Paying homage to its opening date, guests will be greeted with an 80’s soundtrack on arrival. At check-in, children will receive 2014 minted quarters and the opportunity to pick a surprise gift from The Rittenhouse toy treasure chest. As well, a turn-down amenity will be offered, featuring homemade anniversary chocolates created especially by The Rittenhouse’s new Pastry Chef, Tova du Plessis.
“This summer we’re inviting guests and locals alike to enjoy the best of the hotel’s recent enhancements, while recognizing its special place in Philadelphia and toasting to the next 25 years.” says Reginald Archambault, general manager.
