The Travel Corporation Updates its Travel Advisor Portal

The Travel Corporation (TTC) is launching a number of new upgrades to its My Travel Portal (MTP) platform for travel advisors. The portal, which first launched one year ago, allows travelers to personalize their trip and access day by day itineraries, plus it serves as an e-documentation hub and supports travel advisors in ensuring a reasonable duty of care for their clients.

MTP 2.0 incorporates a number of new features based on feedback from a survey of over 3,000 travel advisors and an in-depth consumer study on utilization and feedback, TTC said. The portal now has travelers’ emergency contact details, to help travel advisors deal with unforeseen circumstances, and it also obtains travelers’ personal preferences to allow for a tailored trip.

Additionally, as a sustainability initiative, when travelers choose the option to view itineraries and documents on their mobile device rather than in a paper format, TTC plants a tree in conjunction with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit focused on global reforestation. Last year TTC and One Tree Planted reforested several hundred acres of barren and devastated land.

Insight Vacations travel advisors and guests with bookings to travel in 2019 are now able to access the newly optimized travel portal, joining Insight’s sibling brand, Trafalgar, who launched earlier in May. Luxury Gold, Costsaver, Contiki and Uniworld will also be rolling out in the coming months, with additional brands from the TTC group being added to the platform in due course, TTC said.

Further enhancements and tools are planned to be added later this year and into 2020.
