Travel Leaders Network Adds World Travel Holdings

World Travel Holdings has joined Travel Leaders Network, bringing its travel agency franchise and host agency brands Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc., as well as its more than 35 travel brands, under the Travel Leaders umbrella.

In a written statement John Lovell, president of Travel Leaders Network and Leisure Group, noted that the move was the first time World Travel Holdings has ever joined an agency network. Travel Leaders also said that World Travel Holdings would benefit from the network’s marketing tools, cruise space, hotel and airfare programs.

David Crooks, senior vice president of product and operations for World Travel Holdings, also cited Travel Leaders Network’s focus on the upper premium and luxury sector as a key positive to joining up, particularly Travel Leaders’ Distinctive Voyages and Luxury Specialists programs, as well as the recently inked partnership with American Express.

The American Express partnership, first announced last summer at the Travel Leaders Group EDGEConference, allows Travel Leaders Group travel agents to book American Express travel services and redeem American Express Membership Rewards points on behalf of their clients, even earning a commission while doing so. The deal also allows American Express Gold Card members to access a new travel benefit program, The Travel Collection, which provides discount offers on international and domestic flights, additional benefits at select accommodations, shipboard credits on cruises and discounts on vacation packages.
