On January 11, more than 20 distinguished Los Angeles-based travel and tourism executives gathered with Luxury Travel Advisor at Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills. Over lunch, Questex Hospitality + Travel sales and business development directors Danielle Cirami-Gillis and Chris Coon unveiled news of the brand-new Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX), which replaces the annual Luxury Travel Expo. The appointment-based LTX debuts from November 27-29 at The Palazzo Las Vegas and will feature an appointment-based, invitation-only program. The show will also feature pavilions that showcase a variety of travel partners and suppliers.
Response among the invited guests, including Puerto Rico Tourism’s Yolanda Figueroa, Starwood Mexico’s Beatriz Gonzalez and Turkish Airlines’ Marc Newell, was enthusiastic. “It sounds fabulous,” said Laura Pugh, Director of Sales for the Montage Beverly Hills. Peggy Peterka, Marketing Manager for the Tourism Authority of Thailand, remarked: “It sounds amazing, especially with the combination of pavilions and appointments. I can’t wait to go.”
