Singapore Airlines Launches Premium Economy Class in New York City

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines has announced a new Premium Economy Class in New York City on the flights from JFK to Frankfurt and Singapore. Best part? The new cabin provides a business class-inspired trip with fares that are only 40 to 50 percent more than economy class.

This new Premium Economy is in a separate cabin with 36 seats and each seat has 19.5 inches on space aboard the A380 plane. Guests will be able to relax, as the seats have an eight-inch recline and a pitch of 38 inches.

Those flying in the Premium Economy class will travel through a dedicated check-in line; will have priority baggage handling and an increase baggage allowance of 77 pounds. Guests will find the cabin filled with leather finishing, calf-rests and a foot-bars at each seat, personal power supply, additional stowage space and more

Premium Economy first launched in the U.S. earlier this year on flights out of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
