Smyth Hotel, part of Thompson Hotels, has debuted brand-new interiors designed by Gachot Studios. Gachot Studios is known for its work on Acme restaurant, The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club and the Sterling Mason residences.
The new hotel lobby is divided into four main sections with a living room, den, library and the Evening Bar.
The new Evening Bar and restaurant, Little Park, were created by restaurateurs Chef Andrew Carmellini, Luke Ostrom and Josh Pickard. Little Park will serve seasonal dishes and wine from the Pacific Northwest.
“Reflective of the neighborhood, Smyth breathes Tribeca in every element of its redesign, which is why we turned to local partners exclusively for this project,” said Niki Leondakis, chief executive officer of Commune Hotels and Resorts, Thompson Hotels' parent company.
Many rooms are open for guests, but the updated accommodations will open in early 2015.
