Sneak Peek: Mondrian London Now Taking Reservations

Big news from London today, where Morgans Hotel Group has opened reservations for the upcoming Mondrian London at Sea Containers on the capital’s South Bank, in advance of the official opening on September 30.

The first-ever Mondrian branded boutique hotel outside the United States will be close to the Tate Modern, Borough market and the Southbank Centre.

What makes the hotel special? Many of the 359 rooms and suites have top river and city views. The main bar, Dandelyan, headed up by cocktail expert Ryan Chetiyawardana (AKA Mr Lyan), will serve some new cocktails and variations of the classics, taking inspiration from the botanical wilds of the British countryside and around the world. Mondrian London will also have an exclusive rooftop bar with some sweet views across the city.

New York-based chef Seamus Mullen has crafted a menu that will use fresh produce sourced from nearby Borough Market. The restaurant’s open kitchen and visible wood-fired oven will complement the standalone-seated dining bar in the middle of the room. Bonus: During the warmer months, customers can dine al fresco on the terrace along the banks of the River Thames.

Spa aficionados will want to make time to visit AGUA Bathhouse & Spa will have some unique spa treatments through collaborations with niche wellness brands and experts that include Soveral, Dr. Jackson’s Natural Product, Estelle & Thild, GLAMGLOW Mud, Natura Bisse and CIATE.

Business guests will be able to use more than 20,000 square feet of food, beverage and spa space, but for dedicated events, the hotel will have six flexible venues with over 5,500 square feet of space. For presentations (or private viewing parties), the hotel will have a 56-seat private screening room and seven fully-wired and linked junket rooms with terraces and river views. Bonus perk:  The hotel will be home to the new London headquarters of advertising and communications industry experts Ogilvy Group.
