Southeast Asia’s Newest Luxury Hotels and Anticipated Openings (SLIDESHOW)

A number of new resorts have recently been announced throughout Southeast Asia, with several new developments following on the horizon. Click through the slideshow below to catch a glimpse of some notable new spots and a preview of upcoming projects.

 

Indonesia

The Chedi Club Jimbaran, Bali

Set to open in mid-2015, the Island of the Gods retreat located just 20 minutes from Bali’s international airport will boast 34 one- to four-bedroom pool villas with round-the clock butlers and in-room dining service. The property will also house a 25 meter swimming pool, a restaurant serving contemporary Asian and Indonesian cuisine, a cigar lounge and library, and spa and health facilities.

The Fairmont, Jakarta

Fairmont’s most recent opening in Senayan is a centrally located 380 room hotel with views of the Jakarta skyline. Guests can stay in one of the 108 Sky Suites, which have kitchens and dining areas equipped for extended stays. The hotel will also offer a selection of dining options, including Spectrum, where dishes are created right in front of guests; Sapori, an Italian-style deli and café; the Peacock Lounge, where afternoon tea is served; and Mont Bar, with an extensive beverage listing. Guests can relax at the Willow Steam Spa, with its nine treatment rooms and outdoor pool, or make use of the Fitness Center

Myanmar

Kempinski Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw

The recently opened (November 2014) destination features 135 hotel rooms and 35 suites that give onto the site’s gardens. Along with a list of luxury amenities, guests are treated to 24-hour in-room dining, local newspapers, a twice-daily housekeeping service, health and wellness facilities and programming, restaurant, bar and lounge access, a fully equipped business center, meeting and event spaces, and nearby shopping locations.

Sanctum Inle Resort

The Sanctum Inle Resort will be opening its doors in March 2015. Situated on Myanmar’s Inle Lake, the retreat will offer six classes of rooms and suites, a dual-level spa with a menu of services ranging from Thai massage to facials, diverse dining options, and an overall East-meets-West aesthetic.

 

Singapore

Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa

The Sofitel property is undergoing renovations and is expected to re-open in the second half of 2015. Comprised of suites and villas, the escape distinguishes itself for its large pool, complimentary Wi-Fi, So Spa facilities, and fine dining.
