Stockholm's Grand Hotel Reopens Sidewalk Terrace for Summer

Stockholm is a top place to visit in the summer, and those looking to make the most of the breezes and the late summer nights (remember, sunset doesn't start till 10:30 p.m.) will want to sit out on the Terrassen at the Grand Hôtel.

The Grand Hôtel has an al fresco dining and bar area on a sidewalk terrace that we hear was inspired by the French Riviera, and evokes a Mediterranean ambiance. While dining on Southern European-inspired cuisine or unwinding with cocktails, guests will have top views of the Royal Palace.

The menu includes classics like Chèvre Chaud and Salade Nicoise, as well as the hotel’s own version of a New York lobster roll. The bar menu, meanwhile, includes everything from Champagne cocktails like Bellinis and Ruby Royals to Wine Cobblers and long drinks such as Rosé Pamp, Whiskey Smash and La Moustache.

Inaugurated last year, Terrassen has two settings – one for dinner guests and a lounge area with sofas, armchairs, and a large bar.

Open seven days a week from lunch until 10pm, Terrassen is just over 150 feet to the right of the Grand Hôtel’s main entrance, next to Mathias Dahlgren’s restaurants and the Grand Hôtel Nordic Spa & Fitness.
